It’s worth every penny!- Ticket was $25, and you can only buy them online. The villa was built in the 1920s and was a technologically advanced house for that era. The architecture is from the Italian renaissance period with a modern touch.
Exquisitely preserved and very impressive, this residence was established with the primary goal of entertaining guests.
Beautiful architecture and interior with amazingly well-preserved furniture, tapestries, and murals.
The gardens are stunning and magnificently maintained. Morning is the best time to go; there are fewer people in the morning, so I recommend planning for the morning on a week day to avoid crow.
Manatees were around the docks! We didn’t do the audio tour; the information on the placards is good enough to tell the history of its construction and some environmental factors that threaten it today! There’s a cafe shop on site, and the food is okay.
The walk through the gardens is pretty level, with occasional stairs. A dream place for photographers, art and architecture lovers, and history buffs. The villa has featured in several movies and is also a top wedding destination. Expect to spend around 1.5 to 2 hours fully exploring the mansion and gardens. The Museum closes around 4.30 pm.
